  11.        This chapter lists known bugs and workarounds for SGImeeting
  12.        SGItools Plugins at the time of release.

  15.        4.1  _K_n_o_w_n__B_u_g_s

  18.        SGImeeting SGItools Plugins have the following known bugs:

  22.        _V_i_d_e_o _c_a_p_t_u_r_e _o_n _t_h_e _D_I_V_O _a_n_d _E_V_1 _C_a_r_d_s

  24.             Video capture does not work on an Onyx2 using a DIVO
  25.             Digital Video Card or an Indy using a EV1 Digital Video
  26.             Card.  You will get an error message or a black screen
  27.             if you try to use them.  A workaround to this problem
  28.             is to run the "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" executable from the shell and
  29.             use screen capture on top of the image. Note: The -z
  30.             option changes the image size.  For example to get
  31.             quarter frame size, enter:

  37.             Video capture on an Octane using a Personal Video Card
  38.             does not work properly on IRIX 6.5.2 and 6.5.3.  You
  39.             must upgrade to IRIX 6.5.4 or greater.  Also make sure
  40.             your VideoPanel is set to camera as your default input.

  43.        _S_t_r_e_a_m _p_r_e_e_m_p_t _m_e_s_s_a_g_e

  45.             The video preview button is included in the video
  46.             capture controls.  It uses "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" to run the
  47.             previewer. Occasionally "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n" returns an error
  48.             message to the console: "_v_i_d_e_o_i_n: _S_t_r_e_a_m _w_a_s _p_r_e_e_m_p_t_e_d
  49.             _b_y _a_n_o_t_h_e_r _P_r_o_g_r_a_m".  This error results in the
  50.             previewer disappearing prematurely.

  55.             If you have more than 2 live video captures running on
  56.             a page, you may occasionally see the error message:

  75.             requests.  You may want to stop one of the video
  76.             captures to avoid these errors and contention in the
  77.             library.

  82.             When an Onyx2 whiteboard receives live video captures
  83.             during a conference, it redraws itself slower than
  84.             expected.

  87.        _S_G_I_m_e_e_t_i_n_g _1._0, _S_u_n_F_o_r_u_m _c_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y

  89.             Due to a bug in the SGImeeting 1.0 and SunForum 1.0
  90.             products, the screen and video plugins will only send
  91.             the initial image, and will not update when the source
  92.             image changes. This problem has been fixed in
  93.             SGImeeting 1.1 or later and SunForum 2.0 or later. It
  94.             is recommended that all conference participants using
  95.             the 1.0 version of SGImeeting or SunForum upgrade to
  96.             the later versions as soon as possible.

  101.             When using the screen capture plugin to capture an area
  102.             of the screen, you may occasionally see the screen
  103.             capture controls appear in the wrong color.  The colors
  104.             will correct themselves the next time you move the
  105.             mouse into the screen capture area.

  119.             that only images in the page you are currently viewing
  120.             will update. If a member of the conference is viewing a
  121.             different page than the sender of the live images, they

  146.             When sending large screen or video images to the
  147.             whiteboard, the performance of the user interface may
  148.             become poor. The workaround is to either increase the
  149.             update delay time for the image, or decrease the size
  150.             of the image.
